Copy editing is the clothing of the document, it is the physical expression of your message. It focuses on grammar, syntax, vocabulary, punctuation and typography.
Proofreading what you do before you leave your home: you check your pockets for keys, phone, and wallet, you make sure that you don’t have toothpaste on your chin. Proofreading serves as a last revision before diffusion, and is only supposed to catch the mistakes that somehow made it through the other rounds of edits.

No, requesting a quote is free of charges. I only charge for the actual service(s) provided.

No, I do not provide direct publishing services (ISBN applications, submissions, query letters, book formatting,…).
I do, however, provide manuscript evaluation, editing, proofreading, beta reading and translation services.

No, all costs will be indicated in the quote, or, if they arise later in the project, will always clearly be communicated for approval (or denial) prior to applying them.

Yes, I can provide contracts. Contracts are the best way to ensure both your interests and mine are respected.
I prefer this options for more complex projets. However, I also accept to work without contracts for some projects (for example, you might not require a contract for a simple and rather short translation).

My services do not include typesetting/lay-out, fact-checking, indexing, or content distribution.
