Bio

Born and raised French-speaking Belgian, I have always been an avid reader, and a languages and travel aficionada.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in translation and a Master’s degree in social and cultural anthropology. I am fluent in both French (first language) and English, and I have an intermediate level in Spanish.

I worked for over ten years in the restaurant industry in several countries before immigrating permanently to Canada in 2021. I have since switched careers back to what I love, and have been working with newcomers in the Northwest Territories.

I have been translating and editing texts for many years on the side. In 2023, I gave myself the opportunity and means to focus more on this aspect of my professional life. Today in 2024, I am putting translation and editing at the centre of my career, at long last!

In my personal life, I am a writer, a poet, a hopeful spoken-word artist, and a member of a small francophone publisher in Yellowknife.

I am also the very happy life partner of an amazing Northern Special dog. We now both live in Edmonton, Alberta, taking a break from the beautiful but cold Canadian subarctic.
